This striking plant has black banding horizontally on stems resembling porcupine quills. It is an excellent structural plant providing interest and contrast in the pond margins. It will thrive in boggy ground or pond edges with up to 15cms over the crown. This plant does well in sun to part shade. It is advisable to plant in a container to control the spread.
This pretty white alpine produces a carpet of white flowers in May-July. It is suitable for rockeries, bog gardens and stream or pond sides in full sun.
A striking upright growing plant with lance shaped leaves and topped by pink/purple flowers in summer. It does well in pond shallows with water over the crown grown in full sun to part shade.
