This striking plant has black banding horizontally on stems resembling porcupine quills. It is an excellent structural plant providing interest and contrast in the pond margins. It will thrive in boggy ground or pond edges with up to 15cms over the crown. This plant does well in sun to part shade. It is advisable to plant in a container to control the spread.
This attractive structural plant has narrow glossy green leaves and produces spikes of soft blue flowers June-October. It is well suited to the shallow edges of ponds or streams, and can be grown in water 25-40cm in sun to part shade.
This creeping plant has eye catching variegated leaves with single white flowers June-July. It is suitable for bog gardens, pond and stream sides. It can be grown in up to 2-5cms of water over the crown in full sun to part shade.
This plant has heart shaped leaves and produces double yellow flowers in March-May. It will do well in boggy ground and pond or stream margins in sun or part shade.
