This frost hardy species produces clusters of ruby red flowers June – July. It grows well in moist fertile soil at the edges of streams or ponds in full sun or part shade.
Has stout stems carrying tiers of orange flowers suitable for bog gardens, shallow margins, edge of streams, ditches and moist sunny borders.
